Rainy Days are Bagel Days

This morning I woke up early and went for a lovely run all by myself. After crossing the gorge, I basically ran across a beaver, or an animal that looked like a beaver. It was really shy and took off running, so unfortunately the only photo of it that I got just shows a small animal shape running off towards the water.
See the little brown shape sprinting through the grass?
After that excitement, I continued my run to a hillside with stairs going all the way up it. I did 10 hill repeats up these steps, then continued a leisurely jog back around campus to Balch Hall.

The fun part of the morning actually started right after I left Balch Hall however. I realized that while I had my room key, I did not have my ID Card that everyone needs to scan in front of the doorways to be let in. So after I finished my run, I had to call Thao (who lives on the first floor right by an exit) to let me in. Like the best person she is, she came to the exit and let me in. What a lovely person.

At 10:00 AM, ten people including myself, walked into Collegetown to go eat brunch. Most of us went to Collegetown Bagels which was incredibly good. I got a roundhouse bagel which had egg and bacon and other deliciousness on it. I ate it in less than five minutes.

After Collegetown I read several more chapters of my Argumentation book for debate class and took notes, and worked on my presentation for Tuesday as well.

Today was a rainy day. It has been raining the entire day and it was great. It's kinda cold but I love rain so I don't mind.

The rest of the day went by as it always does. I watched Japan and Australia play their World Cup Game, and Canada and England play theirs. Dinner is a group affair, and the pasta in the dining hall was very good. Blogging about food gets tiring though so I'll blog about the napkins.

The dining hall has brown napkins. They're rough but soak up liquids well. I don't use many napkins because I'm not a tree killer.

  1. I’ve found that the best way to keep from using too many napkins is to not make a mess. Or, being a guy, we just wipe our mess with our sleeves. :-)

    Isn’t Thao the best?
